What tastes like home? For most Indonesian, it’s the warm aroma of newly cooked rice. Organically grown and harvested in Bali, Soehanna rice blissfully reminds us of the sweet taste of home with its alluring fragrant, savory taste, and fluffy texture.

We were asked to design a packaging that centers in communicating Soehanna’s qualities. Instead of going about with a recount, we decided to illustrate a serene glimpse of a rice field in Bali — getting customers to connect their senses with all the elements that make Soehanna so satisfying.

Situated in the ever-crowded Kelapa Gading, Ravelle is a neighborhood restaurant that allows guests to take a break from their past-faced life. Unlike the ephemeral food joint hype, Ravelle makes its long-lasting mark by serving homemade food with a taste that grabs the hearts of children to adults. Honest-to-goodness it is!

We brainstormed over a smooth way to blend all these elements together into one identity. We designed a bold logotype and chose gentle colors for the identity that vastly allures those in need of a hideout. Taking cues from the family-friendly ambience that Ravelle gives, we faithfully crafted various animal illustrations that are playfully applied on the signage, coffee cups, coasters, and saucers. These friendly illustrations are inspired by how different animals can gather in one sanctuary where they can live in serenity. Altogether, we also developed this story into a mural that guests can find in their visit to Ravelle.

Ruby, also known as Captainruby on the gram is an aspiring food-blogger notable in creating tasteful digital contents as well as in-depth reviews of the hottest restaurants allover Jakarta in his blog wanderbites.com

We were tasked to craft a visual identity for his personal branding. When we first met Ruby, it didn’t take long for us to get infected by his energy. Diving more into his personality through a good conversation over coffee, we summed up that he is fun- loving, practical, and absolutely fuss-free! Being so easy to talk to, we wanted to make sure his persona gets delivered in the branding.

Our team extracted a couple lines in the “R” monogram to mirror Ruby’s flexibility. Furthermore, we applied a friendly copy to go along with the collateral such as “HI! THIS IS MY OFFER” and “HI! I’M YOUR INVOICE” to represent just how amiable Ruby is to his future clients. Overall, we were happy of this project and we decided that it is necessary for him to have a signature tote bag for him to carry in his daily food wanderings.

It’s no secret that some days can be mundane. Yet, that’s exactly where Douji comes along—to reward and indulge you with their tasty potato chips. Douji elevates the snacking game with their secret recipe chips that gives sparks to your daily life.

Our collaboration with Douji commenced with developing and creating a brand identity and collateral. Since the owner was inspired by Ibaraki dōji when he first name Douji, we crafted its branding with a contemporary Japanese style as seen clearly from the logo. We chose Pistachio and a slight bit of Orange for the color palette to keep things vivid. Moving into the details, we created an illustration that speaks about the unpredictable daily life, knowing that Douji will relentlessly reward our days with scrumptious greetings of their potato chips.

Fashion does not merely move. It flies high speed.Yet, beyond what meets the eye, comfort takes place as a necessity, and that is exactly where PONYTALE comes in. Founded in 2013, PONYTALE produces modern yet easeful womenswear with femininity and colors that are easy on the eyes.

Recognizing PONYTALE’s love for feminine simplicity, we decided to commit in bringing out their minimalism through a maximum attention to soft details. We opted for relieving colors such as blush following a touch of bronze for the Logotype. Believing that anything excessive shouldn’t be necessary, we had fun playing with understated patterns that appears consistently in the Hang Tag, Box, and Paperbag. Altogether, this design allows the brand to tell its tale timelessly.

For Underwell, it’s all about creating a life well-lived. That includes comfortable yet fashionable underwear inside your arsenal. So without further ado, Underwell is a Men’s Underwear line that optimized quality and design at a fair price. They envision their brand to be accessible while living their three principles—Bold, Easy, and Fun.

Our work for Underwell is comprised of Branding and Collateral. Just like the founder’s vision, we insist on giving a Fun and Attractive look for Underwell’s visual identity. Thinking of it as this playful and charming man that lures attention in his direction.

For the logo, we ended up with a bold typeface while keeping its coolness with a subdued blue as the main color. Furthermore, we had a joyous time creating illustrations of modern men with different personas that are applied throughout the collateral. To wrap it up, we used strong copywriting for Underwell’s packaging and hang tag to connect even more with the customers.

Everybody needs a guide to paradise. Hellobali offers an escort for an out-and-out Bali experience through their monthly travel magazine. They encompass the most extravagant sensations down to the hidden gems located in the remote part of Bali.

To stay relevant as well as to fulfill visitor’s lust for travel, Hellobali contacted us to reframe the magazine’s artistic direction. We came up with the concepts, designs and layouts for each monthly issue. Moreover, we explored Bali’s truest colors and commit in exposing its wonders to the readers through playful and interactive layout design while making sure that the contents are well-delivered.

Ordering flavored drinks on a daily basis can be inconvenient at times. Noessa is a new flavor powder drink that customers can use to make latte, bubble drinks, frappes, milkshakes, and even as a flavor powder for cookies. It offers authentic refreshments fitted to local taste.

We worked closely with the founders of Noessa for this Branding project and they specially requested to incorporate batik pattern into the identity. However, we didn’t stop at that. Noessa targets young audience, and as a result, we developed a modern pattern for the packaging while still including touches of batik as requested by the founder. This simply positions the brand into the right segment.

Subsidiary but never second, Grand Ambarrukmo Hotel carries a legacy from its predecessor Royal Ambarrukmo and Plaza Ambarrukmo. Located in Yogyakarta, Grand Ambarrukmo displays ethereal heritage while paving its own path for new generation of travelers.

The brand identity for Grand Ambarrukmo draws from the sweet sentimental history of Java. We decided not to compromise its tradition, rather, we tried to expose it in modernity through the Logo that takes the form of the iconic Yogyakarta’s Batik known as Cinde. To balance the approach, we made sure that the overall branding whispers relief, calmness as well as composure in this chaotic world.

Pepperlunch is a fast food chain steak house that serves steak, pasta, curry rice, and their signature pepper rice at an affordable price. Customers are allowed to expect their meals to be served deliciously on hot plates with zero fuss. With their sizzling goodness, Pepperlunch has consistently become an all-time favorite to people.

In this project, we were first contacted to design book and tv menus for Pepperlunch Australia. We focused on creating a menu that will awaken the customer’s senses with visuals and typography. After we finalized the menu design, the team at Pepperlunch asked us to reframe their website into the concept of the menu design we previously made. Now, customers get to gain information and promotion easily as we centered on user experience while adding the Pepperlunch-style fun in creating the website.

Flip Burger not only offer a extraordinary food, it also claims to offer good food in human style – this means using no artificial ingredients – and we just love it!

We learn that in the way of making the good food, Flip Burger wanted to show how their delicacies is not complicated at all – in fact, they are as fun as a good food could be. Therefore, in building the website, we wanted to show not only the delicious fact about the food, we also wanted to show how fun it is for them making the food! The website represents them very well – colorful, energetic, but also simple and easy to map everything out. What you want or need to know about Flip Burger, reachable – and make you hungry for more while imagining the juicy patties that scattered all over your screen every time you ‘flip’ on the pages. That’s the goal, and we got it covered.

Arcadaz is a stylish Bar & Lounge located at the top floor of the luxurious Grand Ambarrukmo in Yogyakarta. Purposed to be a playground for the upscale as well as bringing a one-of-kind night out experience to its patrons.

We were asked to create Arcadaz’s branding and collaterals from scratch to help the owner fulfill his vision of establishing a new “it-place” in Yogyakarta. We quickly thought, “Roaring 20s”—the identity is then guided by the 1920s New Orleans ambiance, an era of class and fun. We created a custom type for the logo and played with witty illustrations that are implemented on the collaterals. We had every detail to encompass the 20s era. With timeless glam, Arcadaz has taken patrons to a time unlike now.

When we first met with the founders of GORDON, we were swayed away by their passion that we feel is critical to permeate into the visual identity. They believe in the authenticity of homemade American-styled donuts and yearn to introduce their delicacy in the most appropriate means.

We kicked off by thinking, what better way to represent their passion than doing it with American-styled craftsmanship? Having pride, proximity, and warmth to be infused. Our work for GORDON is comprised of Branding and Collateral—portraying it as a brand that feels relaxed and familiar. As for the execution, we ended up with rustic style and Olive Green as the primary color to create a sense of warmness to let people feel forever welcomed by GORDON.
